Thin Crust Pizza with Toddler Decorations
Dough Ingredients:
2 3/4 to 3 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 package of active dry yeast
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 table spoon vegetable oil
Mix 1 1/4 cup of flour, yeast, salt and oil with electric mixer until all wet and incorporated. Then with a wooden spoon or hand try to add as much flour as possible. The amount of flour is different due to humidity, but at the end the dough should be dry but elastic. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes by just grabbing and throwing it on a lightly floured surface. Let the dough rest for 20 minutes covered with a tea towel.
Pizza Sauce Ingredients:
1 Can of plain tomato sauce
2 cloves of garlic minced
1 table spoon of vegetable oil
salt and pepper to the taste
1 table spoon of lemon juice
Mix all ingredients in saucepan on a low temperature. Let it reduce to half. Put it aside.
Pizza toppings:
1/2 cup onion
1/2 cup pepperoni
1/4 cup mushrooms diced
1/3 cup green peppers.
2 cups mozzarella cheese
Roll out the dough to the size of your pizza tray, put the dough in a 425c degree oven for 15 minutes or until a bit golden.
Spread the sauce on the dough. After this is a family thing for us. My son gets to decorate his pizza, whatever he wants on it and how. Add the desired topping and cheese and put it in the oven for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
Bon Appetit.
Until later,
