Family, A confidence builder
My kids are blessed to have 5 cousins older and one younger than them selves. But they all live in different parts of the world. Although my children are very young and in my daughter’s case hadn’t seen them at all; it is amazing that how quickly they get attached.
Three of my nephews are here for a visit. My son is having a blast, he gets to learn and do what ever he was dreading. I’m happy that they get to spend some time together. I can see my son’s confidence is boosted.
I was lucky growing up in the safety of a large family. I grew up with 10 cousins and I didn’t understand it then. Now when I look back I can see that many aspects of my personality are directly the result of living in a large family. I didn’t understant that having someone your age and on your side could be that important in confidence building of a child. My kids are more confident and acting freely around their cousins and that is the world to them and me.
I hope that everyone can have the pleasure of spending time with his or her family and loved ones.
