281301_first_school_day.jpgMy son started preschool last week. Let me tell you finding the right preschool was difficult. Getting used to the routine not so much. I love it that they have to wake up early, and we have to leave the house before 8:30. It’s the perfect situation for me, except for my son’s unique separation anxiety.

No, he won’t cry at the entrance or after that in the class. He will start being difficult and cranky as soon as he wakes up. He bothers his sister enormously, somehow like getting a revenge that she gets to stay home. At the door he just hugs me very tight and takes time to say goodbye.

On pickup, he sheds a little tear when he sees me, and then crankiness will continue for half a day.

I guess its all fine, they keep telling me I have to be patient and he will get used to school in no time.

I bet each child has his own way of separation anxiety. Don’t be shy share your story with us.

Until later,
