We have the most beautiful weather here in Vancouver. This is normally our July and August weather if we are lucky. Because our summers are short and we don’t know when we go back to rain, I take the kids for picnics, almost every sunny day.
It’s been sunny for the past three weeks, thank God. Well almost every day we had a stop at different parks and almost 3days a week we have picnics there. It’s a simple picnic, some crackers and simple sandwiches, some watermelon or strawberries. When I have food with me, our park times can take up to four hours.
Today I woke up and thought beach. I called a friend to come along with her daughter who is . Well it was difficult to find a play date for my son as most other moms had other plans for the day. That was solved, when with no hope I asked one of the moms when picking up my son and she said fine, we could take her son to the beach.
They had a great time, me too. They had lots of fruit and some pretzel and sandwiches. Played in the sand and then at the playground and then with water. We made sand castles and played with beach ball. They had a blast with water, it was hot and I even wouldn’t mind getting wet. It was so much fun for them that I called his mom and asked if we could spend one more hour there and even then all of us were sorry to leave.
I’m tired but it worth every minute of the fun they had. I love it when you go out, everybody is in good behaviour and the play date goes well. The day that my children are happy, active, and behaving is the perfect day for me. So today was a perfect day on the beach for us. What about you, you can share your version of a perfect day here at busy mom’s blog.
Until later,
