Gogo Bags

Where should I start? Gogo Bags started with me being obsessed with my son starting full day kinderten. I got the idea of an environmentally friendly reusable sandwich bags during a  sleepless night. I remember that night I was so excited about the idea that I got up to my desk and started writing down the idea and the steps I had to take, and of course I did some web research until dawn.

The next day, I asked my mom to join me on this venture as she is a good sewer and always has creative ideas. We started designing and choosing the fabrics. I worked with health Canada and my fabric distributer to pick the safest fabric for contact with food.

We made many, many different prototypes and tested them until we came up with one design that we liked best. At the beginning, we made the bags mainly for our personal use, but when I received positive feedback from our kindergarten teacher and some of the other parents who had tried them out, we decided to take it to the next level.

As we are going forward I get more excited about our project. I’m excited and proud because we are making a difference although small, but we are doing our part to make it easy for families to reuse.

At the moment we are making sandwich bag, snack bag, cutlery holder, and shopping bags that fold into a valet size pouch. We are designing a few other products which will be out soon.

I like to invite you to visit our website; we’re still developing it so please visit often. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions or comments.

I love it when I see a busy mom coming up with a great idea that she create income with on her own time. I looked at the bags on your site. They look great and I’m big into trying to use alternatives to disposable products! I wish you the best of luck as you grow with your new products! – Jenn
