valentine_card2

I probably shouldn’t post this as these cards are so simple that anyone can come up with. But hey I told my kids I’m going to post their cards in my blog (they always get excited to do something for my blog) and I think these are simple but cute cards.

Basically I cut shapes out of card, wrote some Valentine message on it and the kids decorate it with sticker and glitter and later we are going to tape a kiss chocolate on it. Here are some pictures of our cards. oh sorry about the quality of pictures, lately my camera has mind of it’s own.

This is a very cute and easy craft, my kids did this jumping up and down, couldn’t wait to finish the project.

And of course then the attention was on something else!!! What should I expect from a 4.5 years old boy and a almost a 3 years old girl???

So, the craft! You need:

Construction paper

Googly eyes

Colourful feathers

Glue

Red crayon

Pencil and scissors Read the rest of this entry »

Halloween_deco

Our toddler Halloween party was a success. The kids ran around and played, there were screaming, laughter, and a lot of running.

However, the party turned out to be completely different from what I posted before. I had too much to do and a very short time so I compromised and did something simpler but with same amount of fun.

Here is the simpler version:

Instead of make it yourself pizza they had Mac and cheese with hotdogs.

Instead of foam door hangers, they decorated lunch bags with Halloween theme foam stickers to make their own goody bag.

They made pumpkin faces out of paper plat (colored in orange) and cuts of black paper in the shape of eyes and mouths. They had so much fun working with glue and get to create all different kinds of faces and they got to take the crafts home. Read the rest of this entry »

paper_flower

This is a very fun and entertaining craft for toddlers. My kids love to use glue, so in most of our crafts we use some glue to keep them interested.

Before we start, I cut out colourful card stocks in to flower and leaf shapes.

I use a paper plate for glue for them to share. Each gets a wood stick to apply the glue with and then there are sticks, and the shapes I already cut.

To make it easy on them I make one of each flower and leave them with the material to go crazy. It is funny how they pick different leaves and different flower and come up with a totally new thing (sometimes flower J).

This is quick, easy and clean (well except the glue part. I use washable glue J ) and my kids have lots of fun creating different flowers by picking different shape or glue it to some different spot.

Until later,

reward_board

I was thinking of making a reward board for a long time, but never got in to it. Until my son fixated on having this expensive talking Buzz Lightyear, I didn’t want to buy it for him obviously. But had to do something to get his mind out of convincing me to buy that. So I made this reward board, and told him if he gets 5 happy faces each week he gets some allowance and then he can save his money and buy that toy himself, because I’m not buying it.

He has to behave and be good to his sister to receive a happy face at the end of the day. I can’t tell you how many times a day we change from happy face to sad face and back to happy face again, but we are more focused on getting the happy face instead of the Buzz Lightyear.

Here is how to make the reward board. Read the rest of this entry »
